Superbloom

Identity for a fictional music festival.
When coming up with the title, I decided to do something related to my name. I discovered that my first name, Leilani, means heavenly flower and my middle name, Xochil, means flower. To allude to this, I went with the name Superbloom which is a rare desert botanical phenomenon in which an unusually high proportion of wildflowers whose seeds have lain dormant in desert soil germinate and blossom at roughly the same time.
Using a photo of an actual superbloom for reference, I abstracted it, using different colored dots as the flowers. I used this as a recurring design element throughout. I used a typeface that I felt was soft and almost resembled clouds above a hill. I also made posters with the lineup of the festival and others with simply a photo of one of the artists, playing around with how little information is needed to convey the idea of the festival.
